About Us

Impresario's Choice is a non-profit arts organization that presented "Broadway in Monroe" in Monroe, Louisiana, for over a decade. Its mission is to expand the arts audiences, both in number and diversity. Created in 1997 by its founder and artistic director Dr. Raymond Poliquit, Impresario's Choice was awarded the Louisiana Governor's Arts Award for the promotion of arts in 2004. The group created the "Silent Seats Program" that allowed deserving students, seniors and people with disabilities to enjoy an evening of high quality live theatre who otherwise they will be unable to attend. Talk back with Artists, Pre-performance Workshops, Cast Receptions, Book Talks, Master Classes, Teacher's Trainings and Artist Residencies were components of its educational outreach. Over 7,000 recipients had participated since its inception in 1998. It was recently reincarnated to its current form as an arts presenter in New Orleans, Louisiana, with "Tuesdays in July" in 2015, a summer concert series in collaboration with St. Charles Avenue Baptist Church.

"Impresario's Choice On Broadway" is a New Orleans based Broadway production company created in 2004 by Dr. Raymond Poliquit (New Orleans, LA) and his partners Dr. Jeanette Tan (El Paso, TX) and Dr. Mariano Tolentino (Bloomington, IL). After nine Broadway, two Off-Broadway, one West End, two National Touring and one Regional productions, its productions won nine Tony Awards so far. Its current Broadway investment is "Dear Evan Hansen" playing to rave reviews and sold-out audiences since December 2016 at Music Box Theatre in New York City.
